My Sound design for "The Last Garden"

I take great pride in my involvement in this project, as it has provided me with the opportunity to collaborate with exceptionally talented individuals. From the initial stages as a boom operator to the final stages of printing the stems, I have been dedicated to this project since its inception. During discussions about sound design with director Matthew Camfield, I inquired about any specific movies he had in mind as references. He mentioned two titles: "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "Sunshine".

As I began cutting the ambience, I envisioned the entire setting of the story as a living organism, possessing its own emotions and moods. It was as if we were situated within the "stomach" of this intricate laboratory, able to perceive and experience its movements. At the same time, I didn't want to create any conflict with the magnificent music created by Alexandros Miriaris. Also, I received excellent production sounds, recorded by Steven Villacis, which I then blended with Sfxs to give more depth, weight and impact to the scenes.

Again, I really liked working on this project, and I think the result is amazing since this short is winning award after award https://shortfilmsmatter.com/5217/the-last-garden

I really wish it would get funding for a feature, and obviously to be in charge again of the sound design, since sci-fi is the dream of every sound designer I think.
